How to Install wordpress on 1&1 account:

1. Create a new database by following the instructions shown on the link below:

2. Create a folder for the domain name you wish to use for your wordpress. Please follow the instructions shown below on how to create a folder:

3. Download a copy of wordpress at http://wordpress.org/download/

4. Once downloaded upload the file into your webspace by ftp.

To upload your files to your webspace you need first to have an ftp client. Please click the link below to download an ftp client:
http://filezilla-project.org/download.php

Once installed you then need to obtain the necessary information needed in order to connect by ftp. Please follow the instructions on the link below on how to obtain the necessary ftp login information:

By using the ftp login information you can then create an ftp connection using the filezilla client. Please follow the link below to setup a connection:

Once connected you will then be able to upload your files to your webspace.

5. Unzip the Wordpress file using Webspace Explorer into the folder where your domain is pointing to(created in step2). Please follow the instructions shown below:

6. Pull up your website url and then follow the instructions provided.
